Mylar Bag 15 x 20cm & 500cc Oxygen Absorber Bundle
This bundle provides a complete solution for long-term preservation of dry foods and sensitive items. Oxygen absorbers remove oxygen from sealed Mylar Bags, helping extend shelf life, protect flavour and colour, and prevent mould and spoilage.
50cc Oxygen Absorbers
- Use immediately after opening — do not expose to air for more than 60 minutes.
- Store unopened sachets at room temperature (5°C–30°C) and away from direct sunlight.
- Main ingredients: Iron powder, activated carbon, salt, diatomite granules, water.
- Packaging material: PET/EVA/PAPER/PE (oil-proof multi-layer film).
Note: Oxygen absorbers do not create a vacuum. They remove only the oxygen portion of air (approx. 20%), while nitrogen remains. Bags may deflate slightly, which is normal.

Using Mylar Bags with Oxygen Absorbers
Add the correct number of oxygen absorbers before sealing your bag. As oxygen is removed, the Mylar Bag may deflate slightly — this is normal and does not result in a vacuum seal.
Oxygen absorbers help maintain freshness by preventing flavour, colour, texture changes, and protecting against mould and spoilage. Use our online calculator to determine how many absorbers your bag size requires.
How to Heat Seal Mylar Bags
- Fill bags (leaving 10–12 cm at the top).
- Remove as much air as possible.
- Add oxygen absorbers.
- Seal using a vacuum sealer (seal only), impulse sealer, or hair straightener set to high heat.
What You Can Store
Any dry, low-fat foods are ideal for long-term storage, including rice, flour, pasta, oats, beans, powdered milk, cereal, spices, dehydrated fruits and vegetables.
Higher-fat or high-moisture foods can also be stored but should be rotated more frequently.
Our Mylar Bags have a low Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR), making them highly effective for long-term preservation.

How do I seal the 15×20cm Mylar Bag from the 50cc Oxygen Absorber Bundle?
Fill the 15×20cm Mylar Bag, add the 50cc Oxygen Absorber, press out excess air, and seal using a vacuum sealer, impulse sealer, or household iron/hair straightener on high heat for 2–4 seconds.
Will the 15×20cm Mylar Bag from the 50cc Oxygen Absorber Bundle become vacuum-packed?
No. The 50cc Oxygen Absorber in the 15×20cm Mylar Bag + 50cc Oxygen Absorber Bundle removes oxygen, not nitrogen, so the bag will deflate slightly but won’t be fully rigid like a vacuum seal.
How should I store unused 50cc Oxygen Absorbers from the 15×20cm Mylar Bag Bundle?
Keep unused 50cc Oxygen Absorbers from the 15×20cm Mylar Bag + 50cc Oxygen Absorber Bundle in an airtight glass jar with a gasketed lid or in their original sealed packaging, away from heat and sunlight. Reseal within 30 minutes of opening.
There is nothing wrong with the bags. I’ve ordered the wrong gauze. I need bigger ones.
Just as described.. perfect size for storing smaller portions for travel, single serves etc.. I I could make one suggestion it would be to separate the ox absorbers into 2 or 4 groups as once open you have to separate out and reseal asap if not doing mass amounts. lesson learnt for next time.. be prepared when opening them. Super impressed with them though.. thank you

Second purchase from ProEx and excellent as usual. Products are great and post always quick. Smaller bags like these are perfect for coffee, quick oats etc in a much more manageable size if storing them term ie SHTF situ.
