Mylar Bag 23 x 32cm & 200cc Oxygen Absorber Bundle
This bundle provides a complete long-term storage solution. Oxygen absorbers remove oxygen inside sealed Mylar Bags, helping extend shelf life, protect flavour and colour, and prevent mould or spoilage.
200cc Oxygen Absorbers
- Use immediately after opening—do not expose to air for more than 60 minutes.
- Store unopened absorbers at room temperature (5°C–30°C) away from direct sunlight.
- Main ingredients (iron-based): Iron powder, activated carbon, salt, diatomite, water.
- Packaging: PET/EVA/Paper/PE (oil-proof multilayer film).
Note: Oxygen absorbers do not create a vacuum. They remove oxygen (20% of air) while nitrogen remains, causing the bag to deflate slightly without becoming rigid.

Using Mylar Bags with Oxygen Absorbers
Add the correct number of oxygen absorbers before sealing. Removing oxygen helps prevent flavour loss, colour changes, texture changes, mould, and spoilage.
Use our online calculator to determine how many absorbers you need based on bag size. Additional absorbers are recommended if bags are opened and resealed repeatedly.
How to Seal Mylar Bags
- Fill the bag, leaving 10–12 cm at the top
- Add oxygen absorbers
- Press out excess air and heat seal
Sealing methods:
- Vacuum sealer: Use seal function (vacuum optional when using absorbers)
- Impulse sealer: Fast and reliable commercial option
- Hair straightener or iron: High heat, hold 2–4 seconds; repeat for best results
Note: Heat sealing traps air inside the bag. Oxygen absorbers remove the oxygen portion only. A vacuum sealer is required for complete air removal.
Suitable Storage Items
Ideal for long-term storage of dry, low-fat foods including:
- Flour, rice, grains, pasta
- Dehydrated fruits and vegetables
- Dried beans, cereals, powdered milk
- Herbs and spices
Higher-moisture or high-fat foods can also be stored but should be rotated more frequently.
Our Mylar Bags have a very low Oxygen Transmission Rate (OTR), making them highly effective for long-term preservation.

Keep unused 200cc Oxygen Absorbers from the 23×32cm Mylar Bag + 200cc Oxygen Absorber Bundle in an airtight glass jar with a gasketed lid or in their original sealed packaging, away from heat and sunlight. Reseal within 30 minutes of opening.

How do I seal the 23×32cm Mylar Bag from the 200cc Oxygen Absorber Bundle?
Fill the 23×32cm Mylar Bag, add the 200cc Oxygen Absorber, press out excess air, and seal using a vacuum sealer, impulse sealer, or household iron/hair straightener on high heat for 2–4 seconds.
Will the 23×32cm Mylar Bag from the 200cc Oxygen Absorber Bundle become vacuum-packed?
No. The 200cc Oxygen Absorber in the 23×32cm Mylar Bag + 200cc Oxygen Absorber Bundle removes oxygen, not nitrogen, so the bag will deflate slightly but won’t be fully rigid like a vacuum seal.
